Overview

Louisiana Key Academy (LKA) is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and accessible learning environment for all students and staff.

In accordance with the American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) requirements, LKA developed a Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan to support school operations during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent recovery period.

Safe Return to In-Person Instruction

LKA's Safe Return Plan addressed school operations, student and staff safety, and continuity of educational services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The plan and its subsequent updates were intended to support in-person instruction while responding to evolving public health guidance and the educational needs of students.

Continuity of Educational Services

LKA recognizes the importance of maintaining access to educational services, particularly for students with dyslexia and other learning needs. The Safe Return Plan addressed the continuity of instructional services and student supports during periods of operational disruption.

Stakeholder Consultation and Plan Review

As part of the ARP ESSER planning process, school systems were required to periodically review their Safe Return Plans and seek stakeholder input. LKA maintains available documentation related to its historical planning and review process, including applicable presentations, meeting materials, and records of plan revisions.
