Sally E. Shaywitz, M.D. is the Audrey G. Ratner Professor in Learning Development at Yale University and Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Yale Center for Dyslexia & Creativity.  She is also the author of one of the most comprehensive books on Dyslexia.

As a physician-scientist Dr. Shaywitz both carries out the cutting-edge research to advance the science of dyslexia while also devoting herself to caring for children and adults who are dyslexic; her studies provide the basic framework and details for the 21st century scientific understanding of dyslexia.

Unlike many other private schools, charter schools and tutoring centers, our school was founded by two parents of dyslexic children.

MEET THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

  • Through their professional expertise, network and personal experiences, they have gained first hand insight into the education required to allow children with dyslexia to thrive.

  • From our individualized curriculum to our specially trained educators, LKA is dyslexia education done with care, compassion and proven methodologies. We are also family oriented, and work to keep parents active and involved in their child's education, because we understand the critical role that each parent plays in their child's success.
